Boiler not working? Try this first
Before you pay anyone a call-out fee, run through these. They solve a surprising number of 'breakdowns'.
- Check the pressure gauge — below 1 bar means it needs topping up
- Check the thermostat batteries and that it's calling for heat
- Check the programmer time and date after a power cut
- In cold weather, thaw the external condensate pipe with warm water
- Reset the boiler once — if it locks out again, stop and call us
