Biasi boilers
Working on Biasi in the West Midlands
Biasi is another Italian brand, best known here for the Riva range. They were fitted in large numbers through the 2000s and there are still plenty in Midlands homes.
They're repairable, but parts are specialist rather than off-the-shelf and older Riva models are getting difficult. We'll check availability before charging you for diagnosis.
We cover Halesowen, Dudley, Stourbridge, Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster and the wider West Midlands.
Ranges
Biasi models we see most
Riva Plus / Riva Compact
The most common Biasi combis in UK homes.
Riva Advance
Later condensing range with better efficiency.
Activ A
Current combi range, properly supported.
Garda / Parva
Older units — usually replacement candidates.
Common faults
What goes wrong with Biasi boilers
Ignition lockout
No flame detected. Gas, electrodes or condensate blockage.
Overheat lockout
Poor circulation — sludge, pump or a stuck valve.
Pressure loss
Expansion vessel or hidden leak. We pressure-test properly.
Fan and PCB faults
Common on higher-mileage Rivas; part cost usually decides repair vs replace.

Repair or replace
Our honest view
Newer Activ units are worth repairing. Older Riva and Garda models are where we most often recommend replacement, purely on parts cost and availability.
Worcester Bosch Greenstar or Viessmann Vitodens — both far easier to get parts for locally and both with up to a 12-year guarantee.
Our diagnostic visit is £99 inc VAT and it comes off the bill if we carry out the repair. You get a fixed price before we touch anything — no hourly rates and no surprises on the invoice. We’re Gas Safe registered, Which? Trusted Trader endorsed and rated 4.9 across 206+ reviews.
Biasi questions we get asked
Do you repair Biasi boilers?
Yes. We'll confirm part availability and total cost on the diagnostic visit before you commit to anything.
Are Biasi parts hard to get?
For the current Activ range, no. For older Riva and Garda units, availability is limited and lead times can be several days.
