Main is Baxi's budget brand and a very common landlord and developer fit. The Eco Compact is the one we're called to most across Birmingham's rental stock.
The upside is that Main shares a lot of components with Baxi and Potterton, so parts are cheap and quick to get and repairs stay affordable.

What goes wrong with Main boilers
E133 — ignition lockout
No flame. Gas supply, electrodes or frozen condensate — shared code set with Baxi.
E119 — low pressure
Top up via the filling loop; repeated loss means a leak or a failed vessel.
E110 — overheat
Poor circulation from sludge or a failing pump.
Lukewarm hot water
Scaled plate heat exchanger or a passing diverter — cheap parts on this brand.
